The Rugby Union Players’ Association (RUPA) are pleased to announce a new commercial partnership with Australia’s leading sports talent marketplace, PickStar.
The intention of the exciting new partnership is to create networking and commercial opportunities for more than 1300 current professional players and members of the RUPA Players’ Alumni.
PickStar is a great platform for organisations, as well as Clubs and schools, to connect directly with players for marketing campaigns, guest speaking gigs, corporate events, brand ambassador roles, skills clinics, meet and greet opportunities, fan experiences and a variety of tailored interactive endeavours.
PickStar and RUPA have collaborated to create a dedicated Rugby landing page, which will allow users to engage players for appearances with access to all the players who have signed up for the platform.
To celebrate this new partnership, RUPA & PickStar are pleased to offer members and corporate clients a $100 discount towards any bookings over the value of $1000 made throughout the remainder of 2019. Use voucher code RUPA2019 when completing your booking request. Click here to see who is available today.
For the players themselves, it is a completely free and simple process to register, with an opportunity to tailor their profile to attract opportunities for only the types of activities they are interested in being part of.
“Partnering with PickStar allows us to expose our current and past players to a broader, more diverse audience,” RUPA Chief Executive Justin Harrison said.
“Importantly, we also see networking opportunities for our transitioning players and those who have and are moving through to differing employment opportunities, whilst remaining tactile with their strongest anchor point, the Rugby eco-system.
“Providing connectivity and access to our members, who are real people and not just athletes, is paramount to ensuring that all timelines of the Rugby story are joined and we are all given an opportunity to contribute and participate in the tapestry that is a life journey.”
James Begley, PickStar’s Chief Executive Officer, said that “PickStar values its relationships with key player associations across many sporting codes, and we are excited to formally announce our partnership with RUPA.
"Over the past 18 months we’ve continued to significantly invest in developing and enhancing our world-class marketplace and booking platform, and as such we’re perfectly positioned to become RUPA’s official player booking partner.”
PickStar’s technology has facilitated and processed thousands of bookings for schools, businesses, councils, brands, organisations, agencies, publishers, fans and with an in-house development team, it has been further advancing its platform’s capabilities including revolutionising the way athletes are matched with opportunities through it's proprietary recommendation engine.
“Our founding mission was to unlock and connect athletes (both past and present) with commercial opportunities and this is completely aligned with RUPA’s interests for its players in this area," Begley said.
