The Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) is continuing its partnership with the London Academy of Trading (LAT), giving players access to structured education in global financial markets.

LAT is a multi-accredited, multi-award-winning institution focused on teaching individuals how financial markets work — covering everything from shares and currencies to commodities. The skills it teaches centre on spotting opportunities and making informed financial decisions, with practical applications for managing personal wealth and building secondary income streams.

Key benefits:

  • All courses are supported through RUPA’s Training & Education Reimbursement (T&E)
  • Build financial knowledge to support life after rugby and generate second incomes
  • Understand global markets and economic trends
  • Fully flexible, online delivery to fit around training and playing commitments
  • No exams or prior experience required
  • 25% course discount + access to accelerated T&E

Life after professional rugby requires financial preparation, and RUPA's backing of this program reflects that reality. Through the partnership, RUPA members and past players receive discounted pricing and access to accelerated Training and Education support. Programs are delivered entirely online with no exams and no prior experience required, designed to fit around the demands of training and playing schedules.

Former RUPA President Dave Porecki completed LAT's Advanced Trading Diploma while still playing professionally, demonstrating that the program's flexible format is genuinely compatible with elite sport.

Programs run throughout the year, so players can begin whenever the timing suits them.
